10 November 2008 - Monte-Carlo – Following the poll of the IAAF Family and the votes of the Internet fans, the IAAF has selected the three male and the three female finalists who are still in the running to become the 2008 World Athlete of the Year.
13 November 2008 - Monte-Carlo - It was with great sadness that the IAAF received the news that Charles Harmon Brown, a pioneering energy in the field of sports medicine, and a long time member of the IAAF Medical and Anti-Doping Commission, passed away on Tuesday afternoon (11 November).
16 November 2008 - Tokyo, Japan - Overhauling pre-race favourite Yoko Shibui in the 38th kilometre, Yoshimi Ozaki won the final edition of the Tokyo Women’s Marathon on Sunday.

14 November 2008 – After encouraging championships in recent years including seven medals at the 2007 World Championships, with a medal haul of just one bronze at this summer’s Olympic Games, Germany is again searching hard for hopes of success at the 12th IAAF World Championships in Athletics which will be staged in the country’s capital from 15 to 23 August 2009.
14 November 2008 - The 2008 Tokyo Women’s Marathon, the 30th edition, is scheduled to be held on November 16 in Tokyo for the final time. Next year, the marathon will move to nearby Yokohama.
15 November 2008 - Kericho, Kenya - Olympic 5000m bronze medallist Edwin Soi survived a fierce challenge to retain his senior men’s 12km title at the second meeting of Athletics Kenya national cross country series which was run in atrocious weather conditions on a rainy Kericho course in the Rift Valley on Saturday (15).
11 November 2008 - Monte-Carlo - The ten individual meetings which make up the calendar of IAAF Cross Country Permit Series 2008/09 begin next weekend in Oeiras, Portugal, on Saturday 15 November 2008, and conclude in Fukuoka, Japan on Sunday 7 March 2009.
10 November 2008 - Atapuerca (Burgos), Spain - Spain’s Alemayehu Bezabeh and Kenya’s Margaret Muriuki kicked off the new Spanish cross country season successfully by capturing fine victories in the fifth edition of the ‘Cross Internacional de Atapuerca’ held yesterday (9) on a cold and windy day for weather.
